'What I need" AAC Board

$6.00

When words can become difficult (particularly if we are experiencing a verbal shutdown), it can be helpful for us to drop the use of verbal communication as a means of filling up our cup again!

This is where the utilisation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC’s) can be super duper helpful. All this means, is that there are equally as valid ways to communicate that do not rely solely on spoken word. Inside this resource are a set of example cards that you can print and laminate to use for your partner/s or family members, to support you when verbal communication is too hard. If we haven’t got what you need, you can add your own.

Simply use the cards, and point (or gesture) with your finger or fingers towards the picture or words that resonate for you, as a means of expressing yourself to your loved ones, without going beyond your capacity.
